One With God
I've decided to quit "practice blogging" and make this be the first real post. So, here goes! I'll begin by sharing with you a recent interaction between me and the Lord: One afternoon last week when I began my "quiet time" with God, I started off being rather chatty—just telling Him all sorts of things. I was not at all feeling “quiet.” Then the thought came to me that God and I are quite a mismatched pair, and I laughingly told Him so. I thought of God in His great big awesomeness and then of myself in my frail, goofy, needy humanness. For some reason, this really struck my funny bone. I laughed and laughed as I visualized the contrast. I think God saw the humor in this too. But then I was made keenly aware that we are not a "pair." God reminded me that we are ONE. He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him – 1 Corinthians 6:17. How incredible it is to be one spirit with God—and to be reminded of it! Needless to say, you are one with God too, provided you're born again. A lifetime here on Earth is not sufficient to fully explore this truth. But we can certainly start. Just think of the possibilities!
