Arise, shine; for your light has come!  And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you - Isaiah 60:1.

Brilliance

When necessary, God works slowly, carefully, thoroughly and absolutely. His excellent work brings joy to Heaven and Earth. The Lord most often works in secret, with great respect for the human heart and the human will. His guidance is loaded with promise and revelation, designed to inspire the very best response. The Spirit leads us daily with whispers of love. We're serenaded by the sweet sound of Truth. Eventually, the transformation God works in us can no longer be contained. As works of living spiritual art, we rise up from our place of waiting. We boldly step forward, moving through the debris of crumbled enemy strongholds—past angry voices that protest our advance. With confidence in the Lord, we take our place on the brilliant hill of destiny. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden - Matthew 5:14. God created us to be seen and heard—to make a powerful impact in this sinful world. Let's not make excuses or hide away in a "safe" place. Instead, let's be strong and brave, just as God requires. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go - Joshua 1:9. As the light in today's world, we certainly do need courage. But the rewards are worth it. Having God with us "wherever we go" is an outstanding perk of being bright.
